Five senior police officers at Khok Khram station have been transferred to inactive duty at the national police operations centre after a military task force raided an illegal casino in Bang Khen district on Monday. The raid was made by a 52-strong force from the 1st Cavalry Division of the 1st Army Region. The casino is in an area under the jurisdiction of Khok Khram police. The five officers are: Pol Col Suriya Nakkaew, Khok Khram police superintendent; Pol Lt Col Khomsahas Thongkhamnithiwarakul, deputy superintendent for crime suppression; Pol Lt Col Panupong Jindaluang, deputy superintendent for investigation; Pol Lt Col Somkiat Duangman, the station crime suppression chief; and Pol Capt Yongyut Saenbunsiri, deputy chief investigator. They were to report to the national police operations centre by 2pm on Tuesday.
